Oak has been used in the construction of fine furniture for centuries and there are good reasons why it has been the material of choice. It makes a strong dependable building material that results in an aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture. A wardrobe made out of oak can be finished in a variety of stains, shellacs or lacquers so that it can blend in with most bedroom suites.
